Small, hole in the wall restaurant but great service and food. We have eaten here three times now and haven’t been disappointed yet. Delicious food!

La Cueva is definitely Our favorite restaurant in Taos! The food is so delicious that we dined there for 2 consecutive nights. We ordered shrimp tacos, beef enchiladas, seafood enchiladas, combo, everything is so tasty. We love the seafood. They were cooked to perfection and creamy sauce enhanced the flavor. The staff recommended mango chimichanga and didn’t disappoint. Service is also good. Team is super friendly and attentive. Good food and service, and price is not expensive. Why should I complain if the place is a hole in the wall?

Friendly and efficient. Dinner was superb. Highly recommend chili relleno and tacos. I had combination plate and everything was light and tasty. Patio seating was casual and nice. Glass of wine could’ve been a bit more ample but overall very pleasant experience. Warm chocolate cake with ice cream (pretty yellow for a vanilla ice cream, maybe home made?) to top off a delicious dinner and had to try flan so had it to go for another day. All good. Dinner was 16, wine 8, desserts 9 and 8. Reasonable.

The perfect hole in the wall for a meal. The ceviche is excellent and my beef chimichanga was the best thing I ate for our entire road trip. The prices are very reasonable and the service is exceptional.

Went on Monday morning for brunch .. tried veg burrito with green and red chili and chicken mole. Chicken mole was something we tried first time and it was awesome. Menu is not very big but everything is unique . Taste was amazing and filling . Our food was served quickly and was very fresh. People working are very nice.

The food was so great. It was all Mexicans who were cooking in the kitchen and a family owned place they've had for years. Everyone swrvinh were so friendly as well. It's a small restaurant but it's worth going there for their food for sure! We were visiting from Kansas and their food was still different from any Mexican food I've had in KS. A must try place!

Highly recommended and well worth it. Food was delicious, service was great. No sweet tea, lemonade was good. Very very small place with outside eating area also. Very tasty dishes would go again. Parking is a little rough

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. Starting with the traditional margarita with salt on the side, it was incredibly refreshing with just the right balance of flavors. I barely tasted the alcohol, which made it all the more enjoyable. For my main course, I opted for a beef taco served in lettuce instead of a tortilla. The beans and rice were served separately, making it a perfect choice for those following a keto or low-calorie diet. The beef was flavorful and well-cooked. The dessert was a highlight—a warm chocolate pie paired with ice cream. The combination was divine, surpassing even some luxury restaurants I've visited. The service was impeccable. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing, ensuring that we had everything we needed while allowing us to enjoy our meal naturally. While the restaurant's design is quite average, even below average, the food quality more than makes up for it. The amazing and delicious dishes make this place a must-visit.
